Our featured artist profile begins with local funk group The Maximus Band.

These guys have toured Saratoga County for the last three years, rocking venues and festivals from The Putnam Den to the Hats Off Music Festival.

The Maximus Band is set to introduce a new singer to their group, Shenendehowa graduate and Waterford native Lauren Kerr.

Lauren has performed in numerous venues throughout Saratoga County and has competed in a number of contests from Club Vapor to WGNA’s Karaoke Idol.

Her style and range is incredible as she is easily able to take over the presence of artists spanning from Martina McBride to Lauren Hill.

For a band whose members have over 30 years of experience performing, 24-year-old Kerr is the catalyst meant to liven up the crowds and get people jamming to their grooves.

The Maximus Band’s first show with Lauren Kerr is set for November 10 at The Paddock Lounge in Saratoga Springs.
