L.A. based indie/alternative rock group Electric Guest is headed to Saratoga County this Tuesday, for a live performance at Upstate Music Hall in Clifton Park!

Founding members Asa Taccone (vocals/instrumentals) and Matthew Compton (drums) took five and half years to develop their first album “Mondo”, which quickly rose to #11 on the Heatseekers Album Charts.

Their fresh and upbeat tempo hit single, “Head that I hold” continues to receive tremendous air-play from local radio stations like WEQX, and put them on the map as MTV’s 2012 “Artists to Watch.”

Saratoga Millennial recently had a chance to sit down and speak with Matthew Compton and listened to what he had to say about his feelings on performing in smaller venues, what the independent music scene means to them, and what fans can expect at the upcoming concert!

“We absolutely love performing in smaller venues,” says Compton.

“We have performed for large crowds at festivals and you just lose a sense of connection with the fans, where the environment becomes the focus and the music is kind of in the background. I would much rather be able to look out and see everyone.”

Their EP "Holiday" is set to be released this Monday.

"Fans in Clifton Park can expect new songs added to the tour and a great show," says Compton.

Make sure you check back in this Friday for the complete fifteen minute interview and get your tickets today at Upstate Concert Hall!
